Responsibilities:
The Global Medical Director, Chinese Accounts is responsible to be the strategic medical business partner to support the Chinese development and account management activity in China and around the world. This includes ensuring quality and efficiency of all International SOS services worldwide in collaboration with regional medical functions for Chinese clients. The incumbent needs to have familiarity with and be subject matter expert in all medical matters relating to duty of care and sustainability as promoted by the International SOS Foundation.
Client and Business Development
Demonstrate an understanding of the clients’ contractual agreements and work with the Sales and Marketing department to ensure that relationships with International SOS clients are at all times positive and consistent with the contractual obligations.
Support Medical Quality
Support all operational delivery of medical services and patient care performed by medical and clinic support staff to meet the appropriate standard of medical quality in accordance with International SOS operations guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
- Intra-regional and occasional international travel is required, up to 50% of working time.
- Conduct site surveys, provider visits and medical audits as per International SOS specifications when required.
- To work within and promote all International SOS’ policies, procedures and corporate values.
- To be aware of International SOS’ OH&S policies, practices and procedures and actively participate in the ongoing development and enhancement of these important areas of our business.
Requirements:
- International and rapport building including with non-medical staff
- Leadership and communications skills
- Cultural awareness and team player
- Effective both strategically and at a hands-on operational level
- Effectively balance medical needs with commercial considerations
- Proactive and solutions focused
- Medical Doctor with 5 years plus post-graduation experience in medical institution and in-house Corporate Medical Leadership is an advantage
- Full registration to practise medicine in China
- Post graduate qualifications from a Chinese academic medical institution or medical specialist college. Additional overseas medical education/qualification is a distinct advantage.
- Chinese native, fluent in English presentation
- Travel is required based on business needs, up to 50% of working time
