POSITION SUMMARY（職位概述）
This position is responsible for driving and managing improved levels of operational performance in conjunction with the Plant Manager. This position will act as catalyst and support to identify and drive Continuous Improvement programs/projects, capital expense (CAPEX) programs/projects and those programs and projects that are to be undertaken by the operations teams for the purpose of improving financial performances and productivity. In addition, this role will help with coaching/guiding the Materials Group in establishing a well rounded Purchasing and Warehouse system in areas of direct/indirect purchases and storage, supplier qualification and management and Category Management.
This position also have the opportunity to develop strategies and multi-year implementation plans for Continuous improvement. Lead the BD production System implementation within plant
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES（主要職責）
1. Lead the plant to make CI plan for current year and three year roadmap
2. Work with all related dept to generate the CI project list and ensure the project completion.
3. In Charge of Plant CI metric tracking and management and report out
4. Work with Great Asia and WW CI team to implement related program to plant
5. Plan/design, direct, control, manage and coordinate the CI process/system.
6. In Charge of CTW plan for budget and project, work with plant LT team to ensure meet the plant CI target
7. Assume the “expert role” and provide leadership to support the Plant Leadership Team in all CI function roles, responsibilities and initiatives that will lead the plants to improved profitability levels.
8. Will select and apply modern manufacturing techniques/and strategies (VSM, LDMS, Kanban, SMED, 5S, Production Planning, Six Sigma methodology, Built-in Quality, Validation, Lean etc.) to a manufacturing process that will eliminate waste and improve performance and oversee the development of the same in coordination and with the support of the Plant Manager.
9. Work with Equipment Engineer to launch the TPM
10. Act as an internal consultant to the manufacturing organization by assisting management and operation personnel with planning, effective resource utilization and expense control.
11. Analyze plant operations using Value Stream Mapping, engineering principles and techniques and make recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.
12. Track and review the progress of all projects pertaining to improvement in the Value Stream Map, Manufacturing Enterprise Metrics and Manufacturing Site Engine.
13. Prepare and submit productivity, project progress to management to inform them of current status and identify opportunities for improvement.
14. Develop and implement measurement systems to accurately quantify improvement performance.
15. Review and validate project results
16. Develop and implement post audit activities designed to monitor the sustainability of control plans.
17. Implement site level training in Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six Sigma tools (Green Belt training), problem solving techniques and effective utilization of decision making tools etc.
18. Personally complete 3-5 Continuous Improvement projects annually that contributes to the enhanced performance of BD Suzhou.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES（技能）
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related discipline and Green Belt certification is required. Black belt is preferred
2. Good at statistics, familiar with Mintab, JMP
3. Good at CI tools such as VSM, SMED, KANBAN, Pull System, 7 wastes, inventory management, TPM.
4. Be familiar with validation
5. Good at Six sigma
6. Must have 1-3 years proven successful project management /completion experience. Lean Manufacturing training and experience preferred;
7. Good organizational abilities, oral communications in both Chinese and English.
8. Extensive knowledge including but not limited to the project management principles and be able to use and train others on the use of a wide range of problem solving tools;
9. Strong capabilities in financial analysis and modeling, with a recommendation for achieving financial success;
10. Generally familiar with ISO and QS certification;
11. Strong working knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations.
12. Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a team environment;
13. Expert ability to write and present effective project materials, including presentations, status-reporting, etc.
14. Expert ability to lead effective project meetings that are tailored to the participants.
15. Expert ability to effectively identify and resolve project issues.
16. Ability to work in a high stress, high productivity and rapidly changing environment.
17. Ability to be a “self-starter” who identifies, resolves, and reports on issues in a timely and effective manner.
